Boots Transport is a common carrier (For Hire Carrier) that has been in business since 1991. We operate solely in Western Canada are a 100% Flat Deck orientated carrier. We haul 53′ Highboy tridoms and well as 53′ step decks.
The applicant for this job will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Be able to perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip on equipment
- Ability to communicate with dispatch and safety department. Must have own smart phone (company pays flat fee per week)
- be able to maneuver tractor trailer combo in tight spaces and be in 100% control of vehicle at all times
- Driver will be responsible for route management and trip planning
- Keep in contact with customers on time sensitive freight
- Understand load securement, weights and measures and hours of service
- Keeping equipment clean
- Filling out weekly run sheets, fuel reports and BOL’s
- Attend all mandatory driver safety meetings
- Tarp certain loads
